Kentucky State Police arrested a Mortons Gap man on gun charges earlier today.
State Police say around 11:20 a.m. KSP Trooper First Class John Komar accompanied Probation and Parole officers during a routine home visit to 47-year old Timothy E. Hawkins’ residence at 330 Trabue Road, Mortons Gap.
Upon search of the residence, state police say 13 long guns and ammunition were found and confiscated.
Hawkins is currently on a felony diversion and is prohibited from possessing firearms.
He was arrested without incident and is now charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and was booked into the Hopkins County Jail.
