A wreck in Calloway County yesterday afternoon injured an elderly Murray couple.
The report from Kentucky State Police says the incident happened around 3pm on KY 121, when 47-year old John Roberts of Murray attempted to pass a vehicle driven by 83-year old Martha Rogers of Murray.
Police says there was an oncoming vehicle and that caused Roberts to mis-judge his clearance to get back in the right lane. Ms. Rogers ran her vehicle off the road in an attempt to avoid Rogers and hit a telephone pole.
Ms. Rogers and her husband, 84-year old Carrol Rogers, were taken by ambulance to Murray-Calloway County Hospital—while Roberts went uninjured. Everyone involved was wearing a seat belt.
