A single-vehicle wreck in Todd County Saturday night claimed the life of a Clarksville woman.
Kentucky State Police say 36-year old Julie Roberts of Clarksville was southbound on U.S. 79 near Guthrie just before 11pm. Witnesses told investigators Ms. Roberts swerved to avoid striking a deceased deer and dog that were in her path of travel.
Ms. Roberts, who was not wearing her seat belt, lost control of her vehicle and it overturned. She was ejected and pronounced dead on the scene. A passenger, 34-year old Amy Jurisin of Woodlawn, Tennessee, was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville for non-life-threatening injuries.
