The Christian County School Board has outlined its Thursday schedule of events, which could end with the hiring of a replacement for Superintendent Brady Link.
The lone candidate for the job will eat breakfast at the Chamber of Commerce building at 7am, which will be the first time any member of the general public or media will have access to his or her name or credentials. That event is scheduled to last two hours.
That meeting will be followed by hour-long sessions with the central office staff, middle and high school principals, elementary school principals, and certified and classified employees.
A public forum is scheduled from 4 until 5:30 at the Christian County High School cafeteria, before the board goes into closed session at 6:30 to interview the candidate and discuss his or her qualifications.
The board will meet again in closed session at 8:30pm, which will be followed by an open session when the board may take action to approve or disapprove the hiring of the candidate as the next superintendent.
Evening events will occur at the same time as the annual Chamber of Commerce Dinner and the hiring could take place as soon as three or four hours after the public forum.
