Oak Grove Police arrested a man yesterday morning accused of stealing a vehicle in Lyon County.
The local investigation began as a shoplifting incident at the Oak Grove Wal-Mart, where 44-year old Steven Cartwright of Lamasco was arrested along with a second person yesterday morning for allegedly stealing some merchandise from the store on Fort Campbell Boulevard.
Oak Grove officers determined Cartwright to be in possession of a stolen 1995 Dodge Ram. The pickup had been reported stolen Tuesday by Kuttawa resident Bobbie Hall and Cartwright was a “person of interest” in the Kentucky State Police investigation.
KSP was able to obtain a warrant for Cartwright’s arrest and he faces one count of vehicle theft in addition to his shoplifting charges and he is lodged in the Christian County Jail.
