A recently-retired Hopkinsville-Christian County ECC dispatcher was injured in a motorcycle wreck Wednesday afternoon.
Christian County Sheriff’s Captain Chris Miller confirms Danny Comperry was injured in a motorcycle wreck on Dawson Springs Road a few miles north of Hopkinsville near the Hall Lane interchange. No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
Initial reports indicate Comperry sustained injuries to the head and hand, though they did not appear to be life-threatening. A helicopter ambulance was initially requested, but called off later. It couldn’t immediately be confirmed if Comperry was taken to Regional Medical Center in Madisonville or Jennie Stuart, but he was transported by ambulance to a local facility. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the wreck.
Comperry’s official last day at the ECC is Thursday, though he has already ceased his work duties.
