Two murder suspects charged in connection with the 2008 murder of a Clarksville teen on Carter Road, near Oak Grove appeared in Christian Circuit Court this morning for their pre-trial conference.
Commonwealth’s Attorney Lynn Pryor recaps this morning’s proceedings in Judge John Atkin’s courtroom.
Ms. Pryor then spoke about the September trial date remaining in place, pending the result of the Kentucky Supreme Court decision concerning the third suspect, Kenneth Hudson, who was convicted of complicity to murdering 18-year old Shyara Olavarria.
Hudson was reportedly acting at the will of Derrick James who was allegedly angry at the young woman for telling police about a crime that was committed.
James and Jordan Young are accused of being the men who fired the shots.
Hudson is appealing his conviction and will likely testify against his two co-defendants during the upcoming trial and was sentenced to 25-years in prison. He will be eligible for parole in 2028.
