A series of unusual thefts at the Hopkinsville and Oak Grove Wal-Marts were solved recently and the Fort Campbell soldier accused of being the culprit was arrested last night.
Arrested on the strength of two warrants for theft charges was 27-year old Christian McCray of Fort Campbell.
The warrants allege that McCray went to the two stores a combined 11 times and would purchase items such as computers and televisions with a credit card. Police say he would immediately go back into the store, get an identical item and walk out a different door to show his receipt to a different Wal-Mart greeter.
McCray allegedly used the plan from March 15th until May 17th and had stolen over 65-hundred dollars worth of merchandise. He is charged with several counts of theft and was lodged in the Christian County Jail.
