Two people were sent to the hospital early this morning following a two-vehicle wreck that occurred on the 41-A Bypass, near Queens Bluff Way.
Clarksville Police say a 37-year old woman was taken by Lifeflight to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment of head injuries and is listed in stable condition, while a 37-year old man was taken by ambulance to Gateway Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.
Police say around 2 a.m. the vehicle driven by the unidentified woman crossed into the northbound lane and collided with the 44-year old male, causing both vehicles to leave the roadway and careening down separate embankments.
Police say as a result of the collision, the woman was ejected from her vehicle and landed on an embankment off the south side of the roadway.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the collision and charges are pending against both drivers with police saying the names of the individuals will be released following family notification.
