Tomorrow is Primary Election Day in Kentucky and all Democrats and Republicans can cast a ballot—though it likely won’t take very long to do it.
Latest numbers from the courthouse show there are now 25,631 registered Democrats and 13,232 Republicans in Christian County. The 3,567 voters registered as independent or another party will not be able to vote in the primary tomorrow.
Christian County Elections Coordinator Melinda Humphries says Republicans can still choose between four candidates for the presidential nomination, even though everyone except Mitt Romney has suspended their campaigns.
Ms. Humphries says all Democrats can vote in the Congressional Primary and Democrats in Wards 5 and 7 can cast a ballot in Hopkinsville City Council races.
Todd County Republicans have a primary for State Representative, with two candidates running for a chance to face incumbent Martha Jane King in the fall.
