The Christian County Sheriff’s Office has released details of a wreck this morning on Poole Mill Road that severely injured the driver of a pickup.
A news release from Captain Chris Miller says 43-year old Michael Way of Russellville was westbound on Poole Mill around 6:30 when he ran off the road, over-corrected, struck an embankment and flipped his vehicle.
Way was not wearing a seat belt and he was trapped in the vehicle with several upper body injuries until the Christian County Rescue Squad was able to cut him free. Way was taken by helicopter to St. Mary’s Hospital in Evansville.
Deputies say it doesn’t appear that drugs or alcohol was a factor.
