Hopkinsville Community College President, Dr. Jim Selbe was recently elected as a new member of a national association.
Dr. Selbe was elected as a new board member of the American Association of Community Colleges during the association’s annual convention held in Orlando, Florida.
Dr. Selbe is among 10 new members for its 32 member board of directors that will
determine policies for the association and will oversee its work on behalf of the nation’s close to 1,200 community, junior and technical colleges.
Dr. Selbe’s term of office will begin July 1st and will expire June 30th, 2015 and he was quoted as saying that he is extremely honored to have the opportunity to serve on the board and looks forward to working with his fellow board members to ensure a bright future for America’s community colleges.
