For the second time this school year, a school building had to be evacuated after a bomb threat was called into authorities.
Hopkinsville Police, the Christian County Sheriff’s office and Hopkinsville Fire Department responded to Hopkinsville Middle School around 9:15 this morning after a bomb threat was found recorded on the school’s voice mail system by Resource Officer Malcolm Moore.
Officers searched the building for about two hours, before HPD Public Information Officer Paul Ray said nothing suspicious of any kind was found.
The investigation continues and many have noted that it was scheduled to be a day of testing at the school on Koffman Drive. A student was arrested earlier in the school year after a similar incident at Christian County High, which also turned out to be a hoax.
