For the second time in a week, arrests were made after a fight outside of a downtown Hopkinsville bar Friday night.
Arrested outside of Brewster’s at 1004 South Main around 10:40 were 59-year old Chester Lee Edwards and 28-year old Jeremy Reeves of Dyersburg, Tennessee. The two men are listed as employees of the same construction company in Tennessee.
The arrest cards say Edwards was seen punching Reeves with a closed fist. Police say both men were under the influence of alcohol and that crowds from Brewster’s and Ferrels were on the sidewalks watching the altercation.
Both men were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and being drunk in public, with Edwards also charged with 4th degree assault.
