A very strong performance by schools helped this year’s Rotary Auction fall almost exactly in line with last year’s totals.
Hopkinsville High School raised a record $11,100, which was far and away the highest amount any school had ever raised in the history of the auction. The school, of course, won the award for most money raised and was the most improved.
Christian County Middle School raised $2,000 and won that division, while North Drive Middle raised the most per capita and was the most improved in the middle school division.
Overall, this year’s auction has brought in 150-thousand, 724 dollars—which is only 17 dollars behind last year’s pace. The efficiency of the auction continued last night as well, as 100 items were sold for a little over 21 thousand dollars, compared to 104 items for about 16-thousand on Wednesday of last year.
