A Hopkinsville woman was arrested early this morning for allegedly hitting a man on the head with a hammer.
Hopkinsville Police were called to 1834 Walnut St. around 2:30 to the report of a man with minor injuries. The victim, 60-year old Moses White of Hopkinsville, said 46-year old Kimberly Wills of Hopkinsville had come up from behind him and struck him with the hammer.
Police say White sustained a small cut and swelling on the left side of the head, but he refused a trip to the hospital.
Wills was arrested on 2nd degree assault charges and lodged in the Christian County Jail. The report says alcohol may have played a factor in the incident.
