Preliminary statistics released by Kentucky State Police indicate that seven people died in seven separate crashes on Kentucky roadways from Monday, April 2nd through Sunday, April 8th.
State Police say all of the fatalities involved motor vehicle and six of the victims were not wearing seat belts.
Single fatality wrecks occurred in Barren, Boone, Daviess, Hopkins, Knox, Rockcastle and Scott Counties.
State Police say through April 8th, preliminary statistics that 161 people lost their lives on Kentucky roadways since January, which is 4 less fatalities than what was reported for the same time period last year.
