Two arrests have been made in connection with an alleged assault at a Hopkinsville convenience store from last week.
The incident happened last Thursday around 9:20 at the Fort Campbell Boulevard Max Fuel Express, where police investigated a verbal altercation that became physical which. Officers found 36-year old Corey Parker of Hopkinsville lying on the round heavily bleeding, after he was punched so hard in the back of the head that his forehead struck a steel support post.
Arrested on 2nd degree assault charges last night around 10:20 were 21-year old John Fairley and 21-year old Derek Bailey, both of Hopkinsville. Fairley is accused of being the one who punched Parker and Bailey allegedly drove Fairley away from the scene.
Both men were lodged in the Christian County Jail.
