Easter came early for hundreds of military children this weekend.
Thanks to the hard work and dedication of several volunteers, the children of soldiers who are assigned to Fort Campbell’s 1-32 Cavalry Regiment enjoyed a mass Easter Egg Hunt and fun filled activities the entire family enjoyed.
Battalion Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Paul Taylor says it’s important for military leaders to host family oriented events, especially since soldiers are not always home to celebrate the holidays with their loved ones.
Several children even found golden eggs during the Easter Egg Hunt, which was later traded in for prizes that were kid-friendly.
Lieutenant Colonel Taylor then went on to say that he was surprised about how well this weekend’s festivities was organized.
Soldiers assigned to the unit will reportedly be embarking on yet another training exercise, but this time in Fort Carson, Colorado during Easter so that’s why military officials hosted an early Easter event.
