The Christian County School Board appointed Board Chairman Barry Cornelius to serve on the Superintendent Search Screening Committee after he nominated himself to the committee during tonight’s meeting.
Anita Boyd then spoke to board members about how she supported the school board’s recent decision in not renewing current Superintendent Brady Link’s contract.
In other business, the school board approved a Wednesday, May 16th graduation date for local seniors. Hopkinsville High School seniors will be graduating at 5 p.m. and Christian County High School seniors will be walking across the stage at 8:30 p.m. at the Stadium of Champions.
The board also approved the sale of 10 school buses, which will reportedly be replaced by 7 new school buses expected to arrive next month and approved to give over $10,000 to the Christian County High School Marching Band to purchase new uniforms.
Board members then went into closed session and took no action concerning pending litigation.
