A Fort Campbell soldier is charged with murder after reportedly admitting to police that he shot his wife near Oak Grove in December.
The incident was initially reported by the suspect as a self-inflicted gunshot wound on December 3rd at 613 South Calvalcade Circle. 30-year old Kathleen McGee died at the hospital that day from her wounds and investigators with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office collected evidence and did multiple interviews.
A news release says detectives began to suspect foul play when lab results showed it likely was not a self-inflicted wound. Police interviewed the woman’s husband, 32-year old Staff Sgt. Michael Korolevich again Wednesday and he allegedly admitted to killing his wife.
He was then arrested and charged with murder and lodged in the Christian County Jail on one million dollars bond.
