A Pembroke woman went to the hospital after a very slow rear end collision on Pembroke Road yesterday.
That incident happened around 3:30, with the police report saying 63-year old Mary Huff of Pembroke was stopped in traffic at the intersection with the bypass. 64-year old Robert Vier of Hopkinsville was driving a tractor-trailer stopped behind her and said his rig slipped out of gear.
Hopkinsville Police write that Huff’s passenger—31-year old Shaman Huff of Pembroke—was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center, where he reportedly complained of a small headache. Police write that Huff said he was uninjured on the scene.
Police say Ms. Huff claimed damage to the rear of her vehicle was done by yesterday’s wreck, but that dried dirt and mud was found inside the cracks of the existing damage.
