A four year old boy was found walking alone outside of a Greenville Road gas station Monday morning and police reportedly found worse conditions inside his home.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Dyno Mart around 6:30 Monday morning and found the boy at the store. He reportedly told deputies he had walked there to buy chewing gum and said his parents didn’t know he was gone.
When police took him home to 7D Peach Street, the report says they found dirty clothes, food and dishes all over the residence. There was also reportedly a very foul odor from urine and feces in the toilet and what appeared to be dog urine and feces throughout the home.
The mother, 28-year old Cynthia Cole, reportedly told police her son was the one who trashed the home and that he is always leaving without her knowing about it.
Deputies write there were kitchen knives lying on the floor that the boy could have easily stepped on. Cole was summonsed to court on second degree wanton endangerment charges.
