One of the men who represents Trigg County in Frankfort has announced he won’t seek another term.
Fifth District State Representative Melvin Henley of Murray tells the Murray Ledger and Times he won’t seek a fifth term during next year’s election. Representative Henley tells the paper he’s always said nobody should say in office in office more than eight years and that if he’s going to walk the walk, he’s also going to talk the talk.
Henley defeated Robert “Bucky” Buckingham in 2004 and has won re-election three times since. He has represented portions of Calloway and Trigg Counties.
