A pedestrian was killed on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard last night, with Clarksville Police asking the public for help in the investigation.
The incident happened around 7pm, according to police, who say a 53-year old male pedestrian was on the roadway when 54-year old John Taylor or Elkton was northbound and attempted to change from the left to center lane and struck the walker.
Police say it appears the pedestrian was walking west in the center lane on the northbound side when he was struck by Taylor’s van. The pedestrian died on the scene, with his name to be released pending family notification.
