Clarksville Police say thanks to team work and detailed information from witnesses, two suspects wanted in connection to a robbery are now behind bars.
On Wednesday, February 12th around 6:52 p.m. officers responded to a robbery that took place at Rony’s Smoke Shop on North Second Street, after a silent alarm went off at the shop alerting police to a possible robbery in progress.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with the store owner and another man, who both said they had just been held at gun point with a shotgun and the male suspect getting away with $400 and undetermined amount of cigarettes.
Shortly after the robbery and speaking with numerous witnesses, officers were able to locate the robbery suspect, who was identified as Shonquiel Fields.
Police say Fields was interviewed, and then transported to booking at Montgomery County Jail and is now charged with Robbery and Using a Firearm in the commission of a felony.
Also, Joseph Watkins, who posed as Fields’ lookout, was transported to Montgomery County Jail with Watkins charged with Criminal Responsibility for Conduct of Another.
