The victims of serious accidents in Christian and Trigg County continue to recover from their injuries.
A spokesperson for Vanderbilt University Medical Center says 22-year old Sierrah Mathis of South Road, Cadiz was treated and released over the weekend after wrecking between the city limits and 68 bypass in Trigg County Saturday evening.
Sheriff's Sgt. Mark Nichols said Ms. Mathis had been southbound when she ran off the road and traveled up an embankment. Her vehicle rolled several times before coming to rest in a ditch.
Meanwhile, 36-year old Junior McKnight of Christian County is listed in stable condition, an improvement from critical, but stable.
McKnight was injured early Saturday morning when his vehicle was hit by a train at the Duffy Street crossing in Pembroke. Christian County Sheriff's Deputy James Dragoo said McKnight was eastbound and crossed into the train's path around 6 a.m.
There are no flashing lights or gates at that crossing.
