A Hopkinsville man was arrested Sunday afternoon after allegedly hitting a house with his vehicle and then leaving the scene.
The incident happened a little before 1 o'clock, according to the Hopkinsville Police report, which says the 1213 East 18th Street home of Francis Greene and the fencing around it was damaged.
An investigation led Officer Andre Jacobs to a Poplar Street apartment, where a vehicle matching witness description with front end damage was located. The vehicle's owner, 22-year old Brandon Carter of Hopkinsville, allegedly admitted to striking the home and said he lost control of the car while trying to make a left turn onto Perry Street.
He was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and driving without insurance. No one was injured in the vehicle or home.
