Kentucky State Police arrested a Lexington man for allegedly cashing in stolen lottery tickets.
State Police today arrested 55-year old Jeffrey L. Riley of Lexington on charges related to the fraudulent use of promotional lottery tickets.
Police say the arrest was made following an internal investigation of 1,800 missing promotional lottery tickets conducted by the Kentucky Lottery Corporation in January 2014.
Riley, a regional manager for the Kentucky Lottery Corporation, allegedly redeemed or validated the missing tickets at a Georgetown, Kentucky location on three separate occasions.
Riley was charged with three counts of fraudulent use of a lottery ticket, which is considered to be a Class C felony.
