A Cadiz woman is recovering from her injuries after being involved in a single-vehicle wreck this morning.
Kentucky State Police say the wreck occurred on Interstate 24, around the 55 mile-marker, sometime around 11:34 a.m.
The preliminary investigation revealed that 54-year old Deborah Vetzel of Cadiz was eastbound on I-24 and attempted to pass a tractor-trailer that was in the travel right lane, which caused her vehicle to travel over a patch of ice in the passing left lane which caused her to lose control.
Police say the vehicle exited the left side of the roadway and traveled into the median and spun around and overturned and came to rest on its top in the median.
Ms. Vetzel was transported by ambulance to the Trigg County Hospital for treatment.
There were no passengers involved.
Caldwell County Fire & Rescue, and Caldwell County EMS also assisted at the scene.
