The two survivors of a house fire in Muhlenberg County Thursday morning that killed nine members of one family remain in critical, but stable condition at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
That's according to a hospital spokesperson, who said their conditions hadn't changed since Thursday afternoon.
The victims were identified by Kentucky State Police as 35-year old Larae "Nikki" Watson, and her children, 15-year old Madison, 14-year old Kaitlyn, 13-year old Morgan, nine-year old Emily, eight-year old Samuel, six-year old Raegan, and four-year old twins, Mark and Nathaniel.
The State Fire Marshall's Office ruled the fire as accidental and said it likely started when an electric baseboard heater in a bedroom ignited some nearby combustibles. The family lived at 3734 Motes Lane in the Depoy Community, which is about three and a half miles west of Greenville.
