A Calvert City woman was injured in a single-vehicle wreck that occurred on KY 70, about four miles west of Midland this morning.
Kentucky State Police say the wreck happened sometime around 10 a.m. and the preliminary investigation revealed that 45-year old Keith Gish, of Central City, was westbound on KY 70 and was behind a slower-moving vehicle, so he crossed into the eastbound lane to see if it was clear to pass and he abruptly returned to the westbound lane and lost control of his vehicle.
Police say his vehicle exited the right side of the roadway and overturned and came to rest on its top partially in the ditch and partially in the westbound lane.
Gish, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was not injured. While his passenger, 45-year old Belinda Gish, was transported via ambulance to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. She was wearing a seatbelt.
