A fire fund has been created to benefit a Hopkinsville man who lost everything in a fire.
A fund was established at Fort Campbell Federal Credit Union in Hopkinsville, where residents can donate money to help 64-year old Ernest Staton get back on his feet.
Staton was residing at 704 Sullivan Lane, when a fire broke out and completely destroyed the home he was renting on Tuesday afternoon.
Candy Lock says Staton is disabled man that lost all of his possessions in the fire, including his puppy.
Ms. Lock says all donated monies will go towards helping Staton replace everything he lost in the fire like clothes and furniture.
Area residents who are interested in donating furniture or household items are asked to call Candy Lock at 270-498-6373 to make arrangements.
