A Hopkinsville man has been charged with first degree robbery after allegedly taking cash from a female escort at gunpoint Sunday afternoon.
The 27-year old victim told Hopkinsville Police she worked for an escort service and traveled from Clarksville to a Cherry Street address after 23-year old Stephen Lovan of Hopkinsville allegedly called for her.
The woman said she asked Lovan to pay after they had sex, but he refused. When the woman went to leave, Lovan allegedly put a gun to her head and demanded money. She gave him a 100 dollar bill and drove away and called police.
Lovan was arrested later in the evening and charged with first degree robbery and driving on a suspended license.
