Hopkinsville Police have made an arrest in connection with a stabbing incident at a Walnut Street address Thursday morning.
Sgt. Tracey Mayberry served an arrest warrant against 22-year old Jay Carner of Hopkinsville at the Meadowbrook Apartments a little after 9:30 Friday morning.
The warrant says Carner was the man who allegedly stabbed 53-year old Gregory Williams of Hopkinsville in the upper torso with a kitchen knife during an argument over how children were being disciplined.
Williams was treated at Jennie Stuart Medical Center for his injuries.
Carner is charged with one count of second degree assault and is lodged in the Christian County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
