Winter weather had its say last weekend, but the Hopkinsville and Elkton Christmas parades will happen tomorrow.
Hopkinsville's had been set for last Saturday and Elkton's for last Friday, but snow and ice pushed them seven and eight days forward.
Hopkinsville Mayor Dan Kemp says the city's parade will begin at 10 o'clock and travel its traditional route from Glass Avenue and Main to Main and 16th Street and a full day of fun Christmas activities will follow in the city.
The Pennyrile Polar Express will will be at 4 at Founders Square until the tree-lighting ceremony at 6 p.m.
In Elkton, the Christmas Parade will begin at 6 p.m. at Glass Door Solutions on West Main Street, go around the Public Square, and conclude at the Milliken Memorial Community House.
Immediately following the parade, Santa will visit and take free photos with children. Free refreshments will be served at the Welcome Center from 5 until 7 and at the Community House from 7 until 9:30.
