An investigation several months in the making resulted in multiple arrests on drug and organized crime charges Wednesday.
Hopkinsville Police Public Information Officer Paul Ray says the individuals were part of a criminal syndicate engaged in the illegal trafficking of a controlled substance. He says the arrests came after several months of investigation lead by the department’s Special Investigations Unit and after indictments by the Christian County Grand Jury.
The individuals arrested were 23-year old Courtney Williams, 37-year old Brian Scott Davis, 23-year old Deandre Grimes, 23-year old Christopher White, 35-year old Cortez Hairston, 26-year old Denisha Williams, 30-year old Cheryl Dannily-Croft and 30-year old Michael Thomas of Hopkinsville on drug trafficking and other associated charges. The sweep also resulted in the arrest of 47-year old Jerome Catlett of Hopkinsville on the strength of a warrant for contempt of court.
HPD was assisted by the Christian County Sheriff’s Department and Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force.
