A tip from the public helped police arrest a local man on drug trafficking and DUI charges Friday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police received a call that man intoxicated and armed with a handgun had got into a vehicle and was headed westbound on West 7th Street a little after noon Friday. Lieutenant Jefferson Alexander pulled over 53-year old Randall Worsham of Hopkinsville at East Sixth and Virginia after he reportedly crossed the center line multiple times.
The arrest citation says there was a smell of alcohol on Worsham's breath and an open bottle of liquor in his vehicle. A search also allegedly turned up marijuana and eight vicodin pills. Worsham was arrested and charged with trafficking in marijuana, DUI, driving on a suspended license and promoting contraband charges were added when marijuana was allegedly found on his person at the jail.
