A traffic stop in Elkton Saturday night led to the arrests of two men on multiple charges.
Elkton Police pulled over 41-year old Paul Ford of Lewisburg on Elk Fork Road just before 7 for his license plate not being illuminated. Once stopped, Ford allegedly got out of his pickup and began walking away, but was soon stopped.
A news release says a baggie of marijuana was found next to Ford's tire where he had been walking and a passenger in the vehicle—33-year old Christopher Brown of Anderson, Indiana—allegedly had prescription pills lying on the floorboard.
Ford was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, DUI and tampering with evidence. Brown was arrested and charged with trafficking in controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and served with a warrant from Logan County for failure to appear in court.
Both men are lodged in the Todd County Jail.
