Austin Peay State University is expanding and will be opening a new mathematics and computer science building next week.
Officials will be hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony for a new mathematics and computer science building on Monday, September 18th at 3:30 p.m.
Officials say the two-story facility, will provide much needed classroom and office space and is named for APSU alumnus and local businessman James Maynard, who recently created an endowed scholarship that is awarded annually to a student pursuing a degree in business at the university.
The building’s courtyard in front of the building is being named in honor of Ken and Amy Landrum, who both graduated from APSU in 1964 and the building’s atrium is being named in honor of Barry and Maggie Kulback, for providing financial support and leadership to APSU over the years.
The ribbon cutting and dedication ceremonies are open to the public to attend.
