A Trigg County woman went to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and a local man went to jail after a traffic incident on New Hope Road Saturday afternoon.
Trigg County Sheriff Ray Burnam says it’s not clear exactly how it happened, but the woman came out of a moving SUV on New Hope Road and went to the ground.
The driver of the SUV, 44-year old Dwight Hunter of South Road, was arrested and charged with his fourth DUI in the last five years, in addition to driving on a DUI suspended license and tampering with evidence. Sheriff Burnam says the injured woman’s name will be released later. He says she was alert and talking with police at the scene.
