Governor Steve Beshear says the state’s health benefit exchange call center has answered over 3,200 calls daily since it launched last month.
Governor Beshear says since launching on October 1st, Kynect contact center agents have answered over 100,000 calls from Kentuckians.
The contact center, a major component of the Affordable Care Act, is operated through a contract with Xerox and as a condition of the contract, be located in Kentucky and received its 100,000th call on October 31st.
Governor Beshear also says over 115 professional customer care representatives at Xerox’s Lexington facility help answer questions about the application process in signing up for affordable health care.
The contact center provides assistance in English and Spanish as well as other languages, and can be reached at 1-855-459-6328.
Open enrollment through Kynect will continue through March 31st, 2014, with coverage effective as early as January 1st.
