For the second time this week, Congressman Ed Whitfield was in western Kentucky to meet with constituents to discuss their concerns and to also thank veterans for their dedicated service to the nation.
Congressman Whitfield made a quick stop at Christian Care Communities this morning to personally thank several veterans who served during World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
Congressman Whitfield also presented American flags to the veterans as a gesture of appreciation for their service and sacrifice to the nation.
The veterans traveled to Washington, D.C. in August and were a part of a honor flight where veterans visited the World War II Memorial.
Following the presentation, Congressman Whitfield attended the Hopkinsville-Christian County Kiwanis Club’s weekly meeting, where he was invited as the guest speaker.
