The number of Kentuckians applying for health insurance with the Affordable Care Act continues to increase.
The state's online health insurance marketplace, otherwise known as KYNECT, is getting close to enrolling 10,000 people for new health insurance plans.
State officials say over 9,400 individuals are now enrolled to receive affordable health insurance, since KYNECT launched 10 days ago.
Officials also say over 200,000 visitors have clicked on 4.1 million kynect web pages and over 183,000 people have conducted pre-screenings to determine qualifications for subsidies, discounts or programs like Medicaid.
Officials also report that over 9,300 applications for health care coverage have been started and over 20,300 applications are complete.
Kentuckians seeking information about the state's health exchange are encouraged to call the kynect contact center at 1-855-459-6328.
