Jennie Stuart Medical Center has made its largest total United Way contribution in the hospital’s 100 year history.
A news release says the funds come in the form of $52,592 in pledges from employees at the hospital, JSMC ancillary services, and owned physician practices; and a matching cash gift of $52,592 approved by the JSMC Board of Trustees this month.
The $105,184 total is the largest gift the health system has ever made to any charitable organization.
The total JSMC contribution to United Way is up 75 percent from last year. JSMC was a United Way Pacesetter firm this year.
