This year's Nature Fest at Jeffers Bend Environmental Center was the biggest one yet.
Jeffers Bend Steering Committee member Matt Snorton says between 1,500 and 1,600 people attended the event, making it the largest one ever.
Program Coordinator Linda Wood says it's been exciting to see how Nature Fest's popularity has grown over the years.
Ms. Wood says the objective has always been to provide a day of family fun outside in nature.
Booths and exhibits on all types of animals, insects and other topics were on display for children and adults.
Snorton reiterated the event was made possible largely due to the effort of the volunteers, who give their time throughout the year to benefit Jeffers Bend and Christian County.
