A Clarksville Police officer received a prestigious award recently.
Lieutenant Stephen Warren of the Clarksville Police Department was recognized as the recipient of this year’s Tennessee Office of Homeland Security First Responder Award. Warren was nominated by Jerry Buchanan from the Montgomery County Emergency Management Agency.
Lieutenant Warren is the Homeland Security Coordinator for the Clarksville Police Department as well as the Off-Duty Job Coordinator, the New Providence Precinct Project Manager and a member of the Animal Control Board as the Chief’s representative.
A news release says Lieutenant Warren has been a participant at District 7’s weekly Homeland Security meetings and he brings valuable information each week to keep all agencies informed and up to speed on situations occurring in the city. This past year he was reportedly instrumental in coordinating with Ft. Campbell on an Active Shooter/Mass Casualty Exercise that involved 19 emergency services agencies in Tennessee and Kentucky.
