Pennyroyal Hospice's largest fundraiser of the year is coming up Thursday night and a large crowd is expected.
The Taste of the Pennyrile allows attendees to taste hundreds of dishes prepared by businesses from across the region. It begins at 5 and runs through 7:30 at the James E. Bruce Convention Center, but Hospice Director of Business Development Elissa Tucker says doors will open at 4 for viewing of items up for raffle.
Ms. Tucker says Hospice relies on donations to fund several programs and to cover the costs when patients facing the end of their life don't have health insurance.
Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. You can buy them at the Commerce Center on Fort Campbell Boulevard or find a list of other locations on the Pennyroyal Hospice website. Pennyroyal Hospice serves Christian, Todd, Trigg, Lyon and Caldwell counties.
