An industry that employs hundreds of area workers celebrated its 25th anniversary at a ceremony this afternoon.
People were parking in the grass at the James E. Bruce Convention Center to celebrate the quarter century mark for T. Rad North America in Hopkinsville. Plant leaders were joined by local elected officials, including Mayor Dan Kemp, Judge-Executive Steve Tribble and State Representative John Tilley to mark the occasion.
South West Kentucky Economic Development Council Director Mitch Robinson said it was a big day for Hopkinsville and Christian County.
Robinson said it's often difficult for an industry to maintain success for that period of time and sometimes difficult for a community to keep the industry in town. He says the relationship between Hopkinsville and T. Rad has been one to be commended.
A T. Rad customer appreciation dinner was held Tuesday night at the Bruce Center. The Hopkinsville plant manufactures components for cooling systems.
