An investigation is underway after a man was found dead in his vehicle by construction workers in Muhlenberg County Tuesday morning.
A news release from the Muhlenberg County Sheriff's Office says Central Dispatch received a phone call around 6:30 from workers who located a pickup truck off the roadway at the bottom of a steep embankment.
The Muhlenberg County Coroner's Office pronounced the driver, Daniel Crowe III of Daviess County, dead at the scene. First responders are uncertain when the accident may have happened and an autopsy was scheduled to determine whether or not the actual wreck was the cause of death.
Kentucky State Police, Powderly Police and the Central City Fire Department assisted at the scene.
